Been meaning to make a public journal for quite a long time now. Wanted to make one focused on a longer time frame as it makes a little more sense to me, but my boss will only allow me to scalp because that's what he does. That journal might come a little later under sim, but for now, we get all my scalping journals organized. I'm hoping a public journal will help improve my focus as well as point out where I should be placing my stops/targets.
Setups are based on my interpretation of price action and am typically looking for a flush and hold at key levels. There are other setups that are proprietary, but very simple.
Trade management is typical for a scalper (as per boss' orders):
Stop: 8 ticks
1st Target: 4 ticks (50%; stop to BE)
2nd Target: 8 ticks (25%)
Runner: Discretionary (25%)
Big thank you to Big Mike and vvhg for the Excel Journal. I have Tradervue as well, but it's easier to post out of the Excel journal, so I'll be using that for daily results.
Here was today; we had a lot of movement, but didn't get on a lot of trades. +$32
Cluttered chart for journaling purposes:
Was bid 36.25 based on a slightly larger time frame setup and unfortunately didn't get filled.
