Well I suppose this journal has been a long time coming. I have been a member here at futures.io (formerly BMT) for quite a while and I have read a lot of information from various folks here who have been so kind as to share their knowledge with us.
This thread will have 2 purposes. 1) a place for me to record my day's trading and hopefully receive some helpful tips from those who can point out things that I may be missing. And 2) to have a place where newer folks can hopefully get some information that may help them along their journey.
I have a long history in attempting to become profitable while trading but unfortunately that was while I was trading Forex. Due to the extreme volatility that occurs at times and the fact that it is very much unregulated oh and not to mention the banks who have been brought up on charges for rigging the system I have finally made the big boy decision to move over to the futures market.
Early this year I went through a training program with a company that I will not mention here, and learned 2 very important lessons. 1) How prices move and the general structure of the ES market during each trading day. And 2) that their style of trading is not for me.
It is because of members of this site that I found my way to Mack and his PATS methodology. I have been reading his material, watching his videos, studying charts and steadily opening my eyes wider and wider. So naturally I am at a point of putting my efforts to work on live market data and posting my progress here.
So on we go and charts to follow.
