I would like to start this thread to use it as a notebook (please Mike let me know if i'm violating any rule here). I would like to concentrate here all the posts that i consider important to my development as a trader and of course my own commentary. My objective is to generate enough material here that could lead me to develop something to test and then create my trading plan and hopefully help anyone else.
Some of the tools i'm focusing on are fundamentals, inter market analysis, market internals and VP.
Fundamentals and inter market analysis primarily for context because i haven't being able to learn how to use inter market for day trading. Internals and VP for some levels/areas of interest and market strength.
I'm not trading live, i think i should not trade until i have an idea of how the market works. As i read in a post here there's no way to feel the current if you are not in the water but i would like to get a life saver so at least i don't drown at the first try. I just finished colleague but nothing related to finance/economics.
Once i read in Victor's blog "always try to go with central banks" so i went and took some online courses about macroeconomics on coursera and khan academy. (i'll post the links for anyone interested)
Of course not all the info was useful (at least not right now) but thanks to that material i could learn about GDP, unemployment, inflation, deflation, interest rates and how all that relates to the current market cycle. Also much of what i will be posting here could seem similar from the Spoos thread but the people who takes the time to post in that thread has been a huge influence for me and i don't want finding myself posting noise there.
I will be trading futures and i consider this post to be the first thing everyone should read. Don't trade anything you don't understand.
Well, i want to share a chart i made for self study about market relations. Obviously this is not written in stone and should not be taken like this relationships will last forever or work the same way all the time they are just a basic guide.
All feedback and commentary of course will be welcome.
