I like to trade Spot Forex, usually the EUR/USD pair. If you're into trading futures you may be following the 6E...which tags along behind the Spot prices of EUR/USD.
This thread will be a journal...but it will also be an open discussion of a topic that is platform independent. It is about a Game that exists within the Spot Forex Game. The only thing you need to play this game is a chart, a few horizontal lines, a little bit of Day ahead information, and a little bit of strategy.
I learned about the Game from someone else who has been following it for some time. It is a Game played by the Top Tier 1 banks. Nobody at Big Mikes is the target of this Game...I don't care how big your account is. Believe me, it's not big enough to be an originator in this Game. Not unless you have a spare 500 Million lying around that you haven't told your friends about. But you can be a participant on one of the sides if you want to try to make a few pips (or ticks).
I'll post charts taken from my own platforms but they will be pretty bare. I usually don't go in for anything under a 30 minute chart...an hourly chart will work nicely. You don't need to do Oscillators, Moving Averages, or any kind of an indicator other than a grid of the 50pip Big Round Numbers. I'll post charts for EUR/USD. But this Game also goes on for GBP/USD, USD/JPY, and a few others.
The Game is played out each day on the stage of the NY Session. The whole thing happens going into the 10:00 AM NY Cut. Everyday there is going to be a loser and a winner. The loser is going to be out several hundred million dollars. Occasionally...it will be a lot more than that.
I don't have inside information that isn't freely available elsewhere...if you know where to look.
