I've decided to start a new journal after I ended my previous journal by reaching my goal some time ago. Since then I've reached the 100k mark (yes, it's still sim). However, with that said, I am trading live now, but only at a small day trading level and of course very conservatively.
I want to expand my abilities by learning how to be fund manager. Since I'm just an average guy coming from Main Street, I have no formal training other than trail and error and hard knocks until I figure it out. I don't really know how to approach this other than to just start. And by starting this journal, it will force me to take a bold step forward.
By doing this journal, it will allow me to be more transparent in my trades since they will be called within that day and exited in weeks if not within days. The markets that I will be managing will be the Forex Market and the Futures Market.
There will be sooooo much that I will not know of, but I hope that the futures.io (formerly BMT) members that have fund managing experience will chime in and set me straight. It's the only way a guy like me will learn. I'm not exactly sure how I'm going to start this, it has been hounding me for the past months. I figure to just start now and the next step will show, then the next step, then the next...
Here is the list of what will be in the Fund:
Forex: All the Majors
Futures: E-Mini's, Currencies, Energies, Financials, Grains, Softs, Metals, and Meats, (DAX maybe)
I'm thinking about setting up a spread sheet to show the current stats for transparency and to keep me honest, but I don't know how to set this up right now...stuck already :sarcastic:
Till my next post...Oh, my goal for this journal - 1 Million Dollars!!! :becky:
