For several weeks now I've been comparing the price action on Zach's Wicked Line Break Charts, Gordo's Better Line Break Charts and a tick data chart. The only advantage of these chart types over the standard indicator in NT was that price action would be reflected in the forms of wicks and tails, similar to the better renko bars. But unfortunately, neither indicator succeeded. In many cases there are differences of a tick or two and in some cases three ticks or more (today I experienced this with Zach's chart). I've also had cases with the Better Line Break chart where if I had to reload the data sometimes the wick/tail that was there suddenly disappeared.
Unfortunately It doesn't seem that there is much interest in rewriting the code to correct the problems. I've even contacted a ninjascript consultant for a custom quote and he hasn't responded yet either (been three days). Until someone does show interest in correcting the code, I'm going to shelve this chart type. It's just not reliable for backtesting or real time trading when it comes to managing stops.
