I've pin pointed some key areas for improvement in my trading using data gathered in the past few months.
I've chosen to prioritize entries because I think this the area where I struggle in the most. My understanding of market structure/intraday structure has vastly improved in the last year or so. The problem this creates is a poor or unsuccessful execution on a valid trade idea.
I'd like to get a better understanding on distinguishing a pullback since I prefer to execute on a retest. More often then not I catch myself entering after the pullback/better price and enter at an area where I have to endure some chop.
What are the subtleties you all look for in pullbacks? I use DOM for entries, so any insight into that would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if Im not asking the right question, I figure getting some input from traders who trade the same instrument as I would be a good place to start.
For context:
I trade the ES
I use volume profile & DOM
