This morning I found this short video on the FIO twitter feed of Dr. Steenbarger giving us a technique to quickly transition from distracting and counter-productive emotional reactions, to a more focused and productive state of mind. This type of thing sounds good for mostly obvious reasons. Mainly because the best tool I currently possess for dealing with counter-productive psychology is to stop trading...for the day. But I think it would be helpful to be a little more resilient.
So...has anyone tried the technique that Dr. Brett discusses in this video. Does it help with resilience/does it work? What do other traders do to bounce back from counter-productive psychology? Can it be done quickly?
