1st post here. Just submitted a donation to Mike. Very much like the content of this entire forum so decided I wanted to extend some thanks. Low on fluff.
With that said, any interest in splitting up cost of TickData ES entire 1998-current history? I noticed the other elite thread with ES 2003-2009 tick, but it's source location seems dubious and does not include 1998-2003 & post Q3 2009.
I was going to purchase the entire tick history from TD regardless, but would entertain splitting the cost up with 3-4+ individuals if there is interest and this is something Mike would be ok with (hinted it would be ok in other thread). If not, please delete this post. TD ES cost is $650.
TickWrite7, in-house utility that is supplemented with their encrypted .tdi data, is quite a powerful. Quite a few different ways to massage the raw data...much more capable than version 6.
I plan to also subscribe to TickData's daily EOD update option for ES ($100 per year) to keep historical up-to-date and help vet against my live feed (IQFeed). I'd be willing to share the update data with this elite circle in 1-tick and 1-min interval once a month if there is interest and others split the upfront 1998-current with me. The downside that concerns me is that TickWrite7 can only be licensed to one computer as far as I understand. This would mean one party would have to do all the extraction from .tdi proprietary format.
Let me know what you guys think and how the logistics of this should work. I'm new here, so my credibility is not yet established, so I'm open to ideas on how to split cost/data dispersion. Mike I'm sure can verify he received elite circle donation via a ~10yr old verified paypal account :)
