Hey guys been a member of this forum and have been really impressed by all the knowledge and indicators freely available on this site. I wrote a couple indicators that help me visualize the tape, and thought I would share them with everyone.(I am not a programmer, so feel free to make changes to these indicators...maybe code them to use gomi's framework so you can see historical data)
XavVolume:
A TS based volume indicator. Separates trades into Buys(Green, at or above ask), Sells(Red, at or below bid, plots negative), Above Ask (Yellow), Below Bid(Fuchsia), and plots total volume(Gray, Buys + Sells and plotted as always positive)
XavVisualTape: (Buys are at or above Ask, Sells are at or below Bid)
BlockSize - Minimum block trade size
ChartDisplay - Writes block trades(blue), Lot buys (green), Lot sells (red), and Above Ask/Below Bid (black) above and below the current bar. Good way to keep track of it.
HistoricalPlot - Does not erase the ChartDisplay on each new bar(I use it when looking at historical data)
LotSize - Size filter for "Lot" trades. "Lots" have to have the same time stamp, all be buys or sells, and all happen in a row. As soon as it goes from buy to sell, or its a different time stamp, the count resets.
PercentMode - All values are plotted as % of total volume
PlotBlocks - Draws a yellow diamond at block buys, and a fuchsia diamond at block sells
PlotLots - Draws a green dot at lot buys, and a coral dot at lot sells
PlotOffset - Offset spacing in ticks for ChartDisplay
Any improvements on these indicators are welcome, and please post any way you might use this in your trading.
***XavPackV1 draws lines instead of dots and diamonds***
