This indicator is built as an enhancement package to classic GOM MP package. I thank gomi for his open mind and keeping this open source. I also thank FT71, for teaching us how to use volume profile, and whom I respect. There are some excellent webinars available on FT71's site and futures.io (formerly BMT) on volume profiling and trading psychology. You must check them out if you haven't already. I admire FT71 ('s work with Chad from Investor RT ( who brought most of these ideas to my knowledge and I had seen them implemented on Acme Rancho Dinero's website ( as well. You can visit their individual pages for further details.
I would say a million times, Gomi is the best. Even though I have spent several weekend hours, understanding Gomi's work and coding my changes into it, I take no credit for this work. I worship gomi work and he would still own the GOM MP indicator.

Inspiration : These enhancements are all my requirements from my style of trading. Eventually I decided to code them myself on top of Gomi's market profile framework. Everything was available, so I haven't done anything great. I just had to extract them and present on the UI.
Separation : The reason I decided to separate my changes from Gomis indicator because these changes may not suit everyones needs (especially those who trade multiple instruments with different exchange timings or those who are not in US and changing session templates is not what works for them). It worked well for me trading E-Mini ES. We will see if we can package them together in Gomis package. Till then I intend to keep it separate
Indicator Name : ALTOGomMP
Pre-requisites :
1.You need to have installed GOM Package: Classic GOM MP (
2. You need to create new template for the instrument based on exchange trading start and end time. See the picture attached. e.g For Emini S&P; US Pacific Standard Time, the template will start Sunday 3:00 pm to Monday 1:15 pm and respectively start on Monday at 1:30 pm and close Tue 1:15. You get the idea.:)
Enhancements :
1. Added new SPLIT session mode, that will show AH and RTH profiles together in one chart. Works with other types as well.
2. Added Display profile levels such as Trading Session High, Trading Session Low, Mid, VPOC, Value Area High and Value Area Low
3. Added IB minutes parameter to allow you to set initial balance of your preference. IB parameter is turned off for AH session. IB wont show if you have bar set to more than IB minutes.
4. Enhanced Developing VPOC function. Displays now straight progressing line for clear visibility.
5. Added Naked Vpoc levels with an option to display closed naked vpocs
6. Added Naked Close (GAP) levels with an option to display closed GAPS
7. Added option to display the naked level date and price level to the right panel
8. Added Summary section below the Profile that displays total profile volume with an option to format kilo, million and no formatting.
9. Added Summary section below the Profile that also display Initial Balance range and Daily range.
10. Added option to compute profiles for all bars on the chart vs on screen bars. This is important for naked levels in the past computation and display on screen without a need to squeeze the chart to naked level day.
