Hello again

As mentionned in my last post, I'm trying to code my system to put stop oders. Entry should be done if stropon a stop I did they modification suggested by Jeff, but still no orders

Code
IfHavelong=truethenbegin
 Ifbarnumber=53thenprint(date:0:0," ",time:0:0,MyPosition," Par:",PAR," Ety", Pricetargetl:0:5," ISL",ISLL:0:5," QTY",qty:0:0);
 BuynextbarQTYcontractsatPriceTargetLstop;
 Setstoploss(Par*Qty*BigPointValue);
end;
My process
- All value is calculated after the end of the bar using

Code
If Barstatus[1] = 2;
- IntrabarOrderGeneration = True

- I did look on the chart and found a bar that fulfill my rules

- I created a print line to show that my targeted bar was detected as an entry and all parameters well calculated

- Did look the marketposition just before the targeted bar

- Price on the nextbar did go over my stop target by 10 pips so it should had triggerd the stop entry

- Did look after the targeted barnumber and the marketposition had not change

I'm in the dark... Don't know what to test now

Any help or hint greatly appreciated
Martin

Hi,

The code you posted is badly formatted.

Best thing to do is paste it into Notepad, which will strip formatting like colors and stuff, and then copy it from notepad and paste it into forum, wrapping it around the code tags. That way it will be legible.

Can you also include more of the signal so we can see what you are trying to do.

Mike

Hello Mike

Thank for the formating trick, I did tried to play with format on some post, but never tougth to copy on NotePad.

I will work on my strategy program steps to see why there is no orders send. My program is quite long and I dont want to abuse and mixup with to much informations.

I will see If to lean and send only the appropriate lines.

Best wish of happiness and success for the New Year .

Martin

I'm not sure what the variable PAR is. Is it a price? Or is it a number representing ticks? Can you display what the print statement printed? Also did you use "setstopcontract" in your code?

Jeff,

PAR : Pip At Risk. My Fix Dollars Amount / PAR will give me how many units to buy or sell

PAR: Is the range of my setup bar + 2pips + spread. So, yes it is not a fix number.

I have done many test and still not been able to see my "stop entry" activated i when it should had.

I will post later an updated (clearer) code

Martin
