Understand and agree. One of the nice things about futures.io is the lack of continual self promotion and toxic bickering. I would make the observation though that there is a lot of quality material out there, especially in the form of blogs etc, that isn't self promotion. It's just good analysis. Obviously you don't the author plastering that everywhere, but if a user asks a question, and there is a specific online article out there that answers said question, I personally would want somebody to link it.

The problem is, when it's the vendor themselves linking to their own website, having a model which discriminates the good from the bad ('good' and 'bad' used here only in the sense of who is posting a link to a genuinely good article with no hidden agendas Vs. who is promoting a link with the sole by-product of selling something) becomes difficult to manage, especially from a moderation standpoint.
This of course does not prevent other, non-affiliated users to post links to what they consider good content. In fact, a forum without any such links would be pretty barren in my view.
Experienced, trusted and long-time contributors such as yourself add a lot of value to a site such as this by pointing out good content out there.
We just need to be careful that bad practices are not encouraged, i.e. we want to mitigate the risk that vendors don't get a clear sense of policy when they post here - you'd be amazed at the great lengths that some people go to by posing as regular users when they are actually selling something.
Hope it makes sense.

I have been conducting several tests for the past three weeks, ranging from creating a custom indicator from scratch to modifying existing code or trying to convert code from NT7 to NT8. In some cases, following a guide can save time, but in others, it results in a terrible mix of Ninja7 and Ninja8 code that is extremely disorganized. I have also noticed that lately, the tool is not willing to execute certain tasks that I request, stating that it does not have access to the commercial platform. I assume that this intelligence has a level of control set by its creators and can be adjusted to be more or less restrictive in terms of the tasks it can perform.
