Hello again to all

As I'm writing my first line of code using easylanguage, I have few interogations.

I want to give a unique entry number for each trade. To do so, i want to do some string manipulation. I use a lot of this in VBA, but not success yet in this language

Variables: NOrder(0) // Unique number for entry's
EntryString(string) // Not accepted by the compiler

EntryString = "Entry_" & NOrder // Not accepted by the Compiler

Buy EntryStrind, Quant at Next open

NOrder = NOrder +1

Using Easylanguage, How do you

A) Declare a variable as a string I tried Variable: Entry_Num (String) Compiler refuse it

B) Manipulate the string by adding " String" + (text value( a number)

Any help appreciated

Martin

Solution for beginner like me,

I did found the command NumToStr(number).

This function will put in a string the value of a number

selnomeria,

in Tradestation the order names have to be fixed strings and can contain variable parts.
