Hello! Maybe there is already or who can help in writing a custom chart type? The idea is that an up bar (hi / lo) forms as successive up ticks appear and closes when an opposite down tick appears. A downward bar forms as successive down ticks appear and closes when an opposite up tick occurs. The idea seems simple, but I can't get my head around the programming language in Custom Resolutions Manager.

See if the following will work for you:

Set up point and figure chart with the following settings:

Box Size = .01
Reversal = 1
Interval= using 1 tick

With those settings I think you will get what you are looking for

I agree, a good solution, but the point and figure chart does not represent the real volume. This is the problem.

That is true, but the problem you posed also does not represent the real volume since the direction changes with a tick in the opposite direction regardless of the volume associated with that tick.
