I have a relatively simple (I believe) question for the community.
If I have a an automated strategy that triggers a buy and lets say that buy is for 500 shares. If the order is filled in two lots, 1 of 450 shares and 1 of 50 shares will tradestation recognize this at the number of entries into the stock being 1 or 2?
What I am really asking is will the CurrentEntries function =2 or =1
Thank you in advance you guys are the best!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Are you positive about this? I only ask because my strategy made some weird sells as it is based off of the number of current entries and it would make sense if the system recognized the 2 different lots of 450 and 50 as two entries.
Other wise I have to go back through every line of code again
I would suggest using print statements to check what values your code sees. You might also want to check if your code only issued one order or if it in fact issued two.
you are welcome. By the way Futures.IO allows you to show your appreciation for posts by clicking the "Thanks" button next to the specific post.
Check out the help file of the Tradestation Development Environment (TDE), it comes with a few example for using the print reserved word. You can highlight a reserved word in your code within the TDE and click F1, this will bring up the help file.
