I would like to manage multiple accounts and have a big picture portfolio view of P/L and exposure for all accounts combined. I have two questions about how to accomplish this.

First, is there a way to specify the account when issuing Buy and Sell Short commands? Am I forced to apply the strategy to multiple charts for different accounts to accomplish this, or is there a way to specify the target accounts for trades within EasyLanguage?

Second, how can I see a big picture view of the overall positions in multiple accounts? I have seen references to a DLL that provides global variable support, but these all seem to be pretty old, so I suspect that this approach is now deprecated. Is there a better way to examine the positions of multiple accounts in a single piece of EasyLanguage code?

Thank you!

Interesting question. I fear the answer is no, but we will see.
@ABCTG any input?

greymatter,

you can trade from one chart on multiple accounts using Object Oriented Easylanguage (OOEL), but the order objects will only work in realtime and can't be backtested.

Regarding your questions you could also use OOEL here, too and cycle through all accounts (that are available to you with your login) and check your positions and display them. There might be better/build in options and I'd suggest to contact Tradestation directly and ask them.

Regards,

ABCTG
