Forecasting/Projecting/Predicting a Moving Average with EasyLanguage
What would the logic be to create a dataseries where the close of the current bar is estimated as the current price and the close of the next bar is estimated as the current price for purposes of projecting a moving average one bar forward?
For …
The simple idea is to try and predict or forecast where the moving average will be in the future. I am not sure if you need to use a Range chart for this to work, or if any chart type will work.
Ideally, the indicator would:
- Work for Simple and Exponential averages
- Allow you to forward project 'x' bars (not just limited to 1, but user definable)
- Keep the forward projected plot so it could be compared to the actual plot for accuracy
Since you mentioned predicting a moving average, I have something like that in nt. It just draws a bar projection based on a number of bar setting. So its like an ma of sorts.
