Wonder if anyone has lag issues with NT7 ? Really liking MB now with the limit order rebates , my comms are almost nothing since they're all I use .

Hey websouth good to see you around again .

Eric,

Are you manually trading or using an automated strategy? I am asking as wondering how the fills are in real time with automated? I have seen in SIM with limit orders entered on the automated strategy and the price actually going down (on next bar) after a long entry and no fill on the long. EnterLongLimit was Closes+3 Ticks and still no fill is odd .. happens fairly often, and this is during good market activity times.

Thanks,
Jon

I like MB. ... I am not a huge fan of MB and ninja combination although I did it for a while with NT6.5.

Previously had lag issues with ninja and mb

Would you go back to using NT 6.5 versus NT7 to trade MBTrading account? I am asking experienced users to try and figure out which I should use for automation.

Thanks
Jon

I don't have a good answer for you. I never used NT7 much and have very little auto trading experience. I always felt that there was lag there - whether it was a visual thing or a feed thing I dunno. I was doing some heavy scalping at the time... where a pip or 2 could make a difference. Too many factors involved for me to give you any answer other then the common sense - be careful and test it thoroughly. Your mileage may vary. Sorry not much help.

This morning was an interesting example of a very fast rise in the EURUSD. Attached are screen captures from two different computers running in SIM, NT7R1, (W7 32bit for MB, W7 64bit for Dukas). Comments appreciated.

Anyone else that uses MB Trading see this happening today? About 933 Eastern there was a BIG data 'loss' on the chart. Plainly seen on BR5. On another machine I had Dukascopy running with 2 range and no such 'loss'

This is MB data from this morning . 0933 eastern theres a 10 pip gap so that prolly messed up your BR bars . Rollover produces a BIG phantom spike in data pretty often so I adjust my start/end time on ninja to block that period of tme out .

I would not denigrate forex spot, especially for starting live trading with low budget. I know most of MT4 broker are buketshop. But i think MBT or Dukascopy are fine for starting, next when u gain confidence with your trading, and see u have an edge, u can switch to currency futures with the right budget.

Hi luke or anyone here that can advice me.

I start to look future instrument n interested in future forex.

Pls advice recommended broker n why?

Any tips I can refer for trading future forex or it is just the same like spot forex.

Any demo can I try?

Thanks.

You can try futures demo with Ninjatrader and ZenFire or Rithmic data, or also with Sierrachart and Rithmic, TT, CTS data etc.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

Dukascopy

Advantages
-------------

1.tight spread

a)Spread lower than MB for certain pair

b)Spread higher than MB for certain pair

2. Commisson discount up to 45% thru IA (It make same advantage as MBT commision)

3.Dukascopy is a bank. Your money is safe with 100,000 CHF insurance on all deposits.

4.The Market liquidity is larger than MBT

5. Hedging: YES

6. Leverage 1:100 (higher than MBT)

7. Cheaper commission than MBT for account above $50k

Disadvantages
-----------------

1. No deposit via credit card. Charges for wire transfer is high based on where you are.

2. Take longer time for account opening possible up to 3 weeks.

a) Tedious documentation approval but good for your money security.

3. Commission is higher than MB with account lower than $50k however you can back 45% your commission with your IA.

MBTrading

Advantages
-------------

1.Tight spread

a) Spread is lower than Dukascopy for certain pair

b) Spread is higher than Dukascopy for certain pair

2.Commission is lower than Dukascopy compare to if u open less than $50k account in dukascopy

3.Deposit and withdrawal can use Credit Card/Debit Card. It is really save your time.

4.MBT university offer a lot of education.

5.Support is good.

6.Live account opening take within a week.

Disadvantages
-----------------

1.To lower your commission you need to put limit order in and out (actually happy with this. Train me to improve my MM)

a) I also use cashbackforexusa.com to lower my commision

2.MBT is not a bank but protected by SIPC - Securities Investor Protection Corporation (not sure how good it is)

3.The market liquidity is lower than Dukascopy. Sometimes stopped out in MBT but not in Dukascopy (Depends on pair)

4. Hedging: NO

5. 1:50 Leverage

Moral of story

- I trade on both places.

a) Based on what strategy. Sometimes the strategies work in MBT but not Dukascopy.

a) Find cheaper spread to trade for high volatility pair. for example GBP/JPY only at Dukascopy (very cheap spread)..

PS: you can check spread comparison via FX Intelligence | Your Source for Forex Broker Comparisons .. compare MBT vs Fxopen ECN (Same data.Partnership with Dukascopy)
