I happened upon this here Top 5 Things to Know In the Market on Wednesday By Investing.com

I dont really read too much into any opinions from this site so i dont know of their credibility in that regard but it keeps me informed on current topics.

I also had Bloomberg TV on in the background and picked it up as it was happening.

Interesting, I use an Econoday calendar as well but it didnt have that note on it about her text being released. Thanks for this!

Wonder why Forex factory or econoday decided not to post it. Thanks for the links; I'll have two more things to check every day.

There were no announcements scheduled for 7:30am that I am aware of. All of a sudden the book thinned out and it was off to the races as if it were an important news event. I was just about to enter when I glanced at the DOM and saw the limits thinning out.

Any idea? If it WAS due to a news event where can I find a heads up? Forex factory calender didn't show anything. Econoday didn't show anything.

From TFX,

13:30 (GMT time, that's 7:30 EST)

Quoting
Fed Chair Yellen's Semi-Annual testimony reiterates that the Fed expect the economy to warrant gradual rate increases

- The financial strains could impact on outlook if they persist and that job and wage gains are expected to support income and consumer spending.</p>

- Inflation is expected to increase to 2% over the medium term.

- Yellen goes on to state that if declines in equities continue alongside continued USD appreciation then this could weigh on economic activity and the labour market.

It just occurred to me to check the feed. So liquidity definitely dried up because of the statement.

Can you tell me which news feed reported this? I need to start reading the news or just not trade around 7:30am.

You may be right... Most economic US releases come out at 7.30 EST and they're quite frequent in the week... Depending on your trading style it may be advisable to wait, especially if it's Tier 1 data.
