To get a similar view, instead of using the VAP (volume at price), for Forex, you can use TAP (Time at price) market profile. This will result in a similar insight into the market. Not identical, but similar.

thats a new one on me. i will investigate this. it may shine an interesting light on how i trade at present! thankyou for your suggestion

I would imagine you have to choose your sessions wisely when using TAP for FX. For EUR/USD, I would probably run my TAP from the Frankfurt Open to the NY Close.

yes. the little i know of non spot ( TAP would be used on futures?) is that this is done at CME? does this mean London session no good?
sorry to ask such naive questions. all my learning to date has been mostly the technical aspects of trading. maybe now i can investigate why futures could be a better option. atm to my un researched mind its access to volume vs it not being tax free!

Quite the contrary, my stats suggest that london/tokyo Overlap is the most important session for E/U ...
