How to eliminate currency risk in portfolio?

Hi About a year ago I transfered most of my money to Interactive Brokers and changed from my danish currency to USD. Since then the dollar have risen quite a bit compared to the danish kronem which is tied to the euro. How do I lock in this gain, while still being able to keep my dollars? Do I buy the equal dollar amount in euros and thereby is being hedged? And what willl that cost in comissions and other expences?
