I have just recently come across trading by Order Flow, and I was wondering what the best resource is for learning it. I've run across Market Delta, Peter Davies, Simon Yousef, Kai Whitney, etc, and even a few webinars done by Big Mike where he had guest in looking at it.

I was wondering where the best resource is. If you get MarketDelta charts, do they have any thorough training? I just want to hook up with the best resources(s) for learning it thoroughly, so that when I begin to practice I know what I am supposed to be looking for and how.

Hi Pete from Jigsaw has some pretty good stuff. So does John from nobs. Market delta is supposedly good...I have run a trial. But is too time consuming for me.
There are many ways to approach this...but the best I found is screen time and co-relation with my indicators. DOM and Footprint like everything in trading is uncertain and just a probability which can be managed with risk mgt.

Cheers n good luck

Thnx

Thanks paps.

I just happened to be looking at a video on the 'volume imbalance footprint' by Trevor at Market Delta when I got the notification for this post. Just trying to find what I can on explaining it so I know exactly what I am supposed to be looking for when I start putting in the screen time. I figured starting out with the footprint charts may be easier than reading the DOM that Peter and John uses. Hopefully I can make the step up to Peter's DOM at some point.

Hi emini2000. Wish I could just read footprint and trade. Well I do need to look into time n sales and keep a mental watch on figures of the DOM.
But the above is still not my entry and exit unless am scalping. It needs to confirm what volume is telling me.
Why don't u contact MD. I think they can point you to some recorded..upcoming webinars where you could gain further insight. Familiarity with the tool is essential when subjecting it to our trading methodology

Thnx

Hi emini2000,

I can see that you use NT. But which instruments did you face till this moment regarding order flow? Id you familr to DOM, tape or footprint?
Rgd.

Guys its a play of balance/imbalance ..supply/demand...stopping volume..big limits. All resources will have nuggets. Order flow is just one way to read this. The game is probability with risk mgt and what your inner voice says.
if you want to be the best....and have time...read and evaluate all there is....and stick with one which you think is sticky with you.
Lol..not sure if this helped in any way. Sorry Cheers n happy thanks giving.

The way I'm understanding order flow is not a trading tool in and of itself, but something along with technical analysis that is the 'when' where technical analysis is the 'why'. In other words order flow confirms or refutes where your other analysis it telling you to take a trade.

Having said that, I see some such as John Grady of nobsdaytrading.com that all they do is trade off the DOM like Peter Davies sells. No charts, just order flow off the DOM. So i guess it can be a trading tool in and of itself.
