I'M using Interactive broker to trade Forex. I would avoid any free broker of fix spread, free charting software. There is nothing free on this word. What they give you, they will have you pay somewhere. IB have usually a spread of 0.5pip for the major pair + 2.95 / 100k unit trade.

Not the friendlier trading platform, but you could trade it using Ninja. I'm sending my order via Excel and API function and the charting is done with Multicharts

Good luck Happy New Year

Martin

Lawrencejude,

As you're in Australia, try IC Markets ( CFD | [AUTOLINK]CFD[/AUTOLINK] Trading | Forex Trading | CFDs | Forex | Zero Spreads). They're an ECN broker and their spreads are probably the best that I've experienced for spot Forex. For EURUSD, I've seen their spreads dip into -ve territory, albeit, for only very brief periods. They have cTrader (best for scalpers) and MT4 which would be ideal for swing trading.

Best of luck.

Hi,

How fast do you find MultiCharts is with IB? Also, any reason you don't send your orders via MultiChartsn instead of Excel and API? Just personal preference or is there any issue with MC and IB?

Playing around with the demos now and trying to figure out how efficient it is.

Thanks

Hello

I have created an Excel sheet to control all aspect of my entry. Once I get a signal, I decide or not to enter and send an order. I could follow up to 8 charts, I got visual and voice message allert

I can adjust my $ risk, my entry price, my type of entry like a stop, limit stop market etc. I could select every aspect of my trade and this was not easely done via MC. Now, with the last version of MC we could get some latitude that was not available when I start to work on my sheet
