New Pairs

I have been trading the Eur/USd for a while now and am looking to trade some other pairs when
the Euro is flat.

What are some your favorite pairs ?

Ditto the Aussie. It's very correlated with metals prices and high interest rates mean it regularly goes in and out of favour for carry trades (depending on the global growth outlook), both of which mean it's never still for long.

Apart from EUR/USD I trade the AUD/USD, GBP/USD, and the Yen pairs: EUR/JPY, AUD/JPY and GBP/JPY. I used to trade other pairs such USD/CHF, CHF/JPY and other crosses, but the average day's move are not so great in some pairs. So I prefer to trade pairs with high average day's move, I also take the pairs spread into consideration and also I look at the average week's move...

Be in mind that market condition can change any time.

What do I mean by average day's move: [Based on my data]

Average Day's move:

EUR/USD - 124 pips
AUD/USD - 102 pips
GBP/USD - 106 pips
USD/CHF - 90 pips

EUR/JPY - 120 pips
AUD/JPY - 100 pips
GBP/JPY - 122 pips
CHF/JPY - 84 pips

Now look at the average day's move of USD/JPY - 60 pips; So leave it alone. Well you got the idea.

USD/CHF is how it's quoted on the spot market for historical reasons. CME futures use CHF/USD I assume to be more consistent.

In my admittedly limited experience this is a very quiet pair though. I wonder if perryg can expand on why he would recommend it?

I'm no expert but isn't that because of CHF/EUR's floor?

I know it was regarded as the most undervalued currency (CHF) back a few months ago before the SNB stepped in, how would you trade it now?
