Some people asked my settings for other symbols, here they are:

6E -> 1508 short term 1508/4
Max: 23t
Avg: 11t
Min: 8t

NQ -> 1200 short term 1200/4
Max: 25t
Avg: 15t
Min: 11t

ES -> 3200 short term 3200/4
Max: 12t
Avg: 7t
Min: 5t

This is based on the fact that if the S&P moves 1 point, the Dow will move 10 points, the NASDAQ will move 2 points and the RUSSELL 1/2 point. So using the MAX[100], MIN[100] and EMA[100] applied to the ATR[14] i got these numbers.

Thanks for posting.

One question though, what do these numbers mean?

Max: 25t
Avg: 15t
Min: 11t

t = ticks. I wanted to know how many ticks a bar might have on average as well as the MAXIMUM and MINIMUM i could find. To do this i proceeded using the MAX, MIN and EMA functions in Ninja but applied to the ATR[7]. Knowing these figures i tried to find the settings for the other symbols to get a similar ratio of ticks. See picture for more details.

Interesting approach to determining the tick chart settings for the other instruments.

I wanted to determine the settings for the YM; unfortunately SC does not have similar studies so I can determine the tick chart settings for the YM. Could you please check with your indicators to see what the appropriate settings for the YM would be?

If you use 1200t for your long term you should match the settings i posted for the ES.

Here are the stats for the YM

YM -> 1200
Max: 33 pts
Avg: 20 pts
Min: 14 pts

On average each bar makes 20 pts on a 1200t chart.

I have determined that the recording I posted was bad and have deleted the post containing it. I will create a new one over the weekend and repost it

Sorry for the temporary aggravation
