Here is the current channel into which the Euro has been moving over the past few days. I have used a 24128 tick chart, ie, 1508 x 16. Each bar is approximately 55 ticks wide (average size). I thought it might help.

Thanks to Big Mike for this forum where traders come together from around the globe to help each other find ways to help their trading. futures.io (formerly BMT) Rules !!!!

Thanks to Big Mike for running the contest and his exceptional generosity in doing so

I have recieved the Ipad2 and my family and myself are enjoying it, thanks to all who voted for me and I hope you find success in the method I presented

Charles, i saw your video and as usual this is quite relevant info. There was a potential setup that occured at around 9:45 CST or 10:45 EST which is interesting and may seem difficult to evaluate but i am ready to share one of my closely guarded secret as you have been so generous with us.

I mainly use this approach to better time my entry when a congestion is forming right at a resistance or support. As you'll note, i am using the MACD with Bollinger bands to time my entry and to detect when price is most likely to make an attempt at breaking the ice. This interpretation alone has saved me lots of money.

thats a nice post TIYF, the MACDBB is a good indicator. I do feel that it is very complicated indicator in the sense that it takes a lot of work to master what the indicator is telling you so you can use it as an effective part of your trading style

In my personal experience i have not been able to establish a reliable way to use it and that is why it is not part of my method

My 2 cents here,
I will stay with Charles's current method and add nothing to current setting, since I believe SIMPLE is better and the method works well to me.
I understand people try to add other indicators on current setting to get more entry opportunities, however, I don’t think that is Charles's purpose to create this thread. And it takes a lot time to learn the new indicators and figure out how to fit the current method.
Currently I just have 5-8 trades per week, the result is favorable.

In this case, my intent was not to add or remove anything to Charles's method. Indeed, my intent was to share some of my experience with the MACD which i find extremely good for certain task such as evaluating when a breakout is more likely to occur. Next time i will think twice before sharing my thoughts and experience in this thread. You can keep your two cents.

tiyf, what settings are you using for that? I put it on my chart and it doesn't look at all the same.

Now - Now - Now, lets behave

I have never said one critical thing about an indicator another trader is looking at and expect everyone else to follow along.

If you have or see an indicator that you think could benefit the method in some way I truly welcome your sharing and explanation as to how you use it

If you have found something different that makes the method work for you by all means use it, share it and if it helps another trader that is better.

That is what we are here for and we dont need to bicker back and forth about what 1 trader likes and another one likes

Lets all get along and help each other so we all make money, is that not the bottom line and the purpose of not only this thread but the entire forum

Many thx for the thread cbooth and all.

Could someone post:
Trigger Lines indicator
Trigger Line settings

Thx
(btw the Trigger Lines indicator in Downloads has a shaded area between lines that I can't remove
and doesn't seem to be the same version here ?)
