Now I'm up to date with the videos as well. Here are a couple new things I learned:

1. You look for divergences to take place when looking for an entry. If everything sets up properly in the 1508 and 377 tick chart, but there is no divergence in the 377 tick chart, you do not take the trade. If the stochastics indicator is moving the same as price, you don't take the trade.

2. When trigger lines are somewhat wide, you want to see one of the trigger lines go flat or start to reverse to take the trade. If price immediately reverses and closes back in the direction of the trigger lines, against you, you close the trade.

3. You want to see Stochastics below the 50 line on the entry bar when going long and above it when going short.

One thing I seem to have missed is that I remember you saying that you changed the settings for the Keltner channel so the lines are closer together, what setting do you use? When you mentioned that in the video I forgot to write it down and it's pretty hard looking back through the video to find where you said that.

Period 21, multiplier 0.8

this is if you want to have the thin band like I have on my chart, again the 21 center line is the important one

Videos (links) that get deleted after 7 days = bad, bad, will cause lots of grief as this thread is "forever".

Why not use CamStudio (free) to record, and upload to YouTube (free) for permanent archiving?

Being fairly new to all of this video recording technology I was not aware of CamStudio, I will look into this over the weekend

Thanks for the suggestion

.

I think we'll see a lot of different opportunities given that this is a discretionary methodology, so eventually I'm sure we'll each hammer out what makes sense individually.

You also have to deal with the fact that tick charts can be VERY different when the data is reloaded, which makes analysis and historical study problematic. Setups can appear and disappear, stops can be hit or profit targets hit, etc., depending on how the bars appear. So you really have to study the charts in real time and take pictures or video for reference.

GM traders,

Here this morning before the NFP fun, I wanted to post this example that just occurred a few minutes ago since I continue to get a lot of questions concerning the trigger lines

See this chart below of the 377 chart, note the candle closing below the cloud and trigger lines just after 5:05.

We had a hidden divergence setup possibly giving a trading oppurtunity. Note the trigger lines at the time, the top trigger line showed no signs of beginning to turn and roll over as that down bar closed below both lines. That is the nuance that you need to look at before committing to the trade

The one at around 4:09 EST was good but failed (-8t) then it gave again a second entry at 4:55 which gave 21t.

Very True, although on my 1508 chart price had not pulled back close enough to the MA or cloud - perhaps it did on yours

I'm not sure what type of account you have to have to do it, but you would either have to make your vids considerably shorter, or split them up. Seems the standard upload requires your vid be less than 15minutes, despite the size of the upload. I've seen much longer vids, but not sure if that's available for standard youtube accounts.

For that trade, I didn't have a pb to the cloud on mine, also my stoch was a bit below 50 for that one.

Cool. Mine is a slightly different look.

EDIT----
Damn where that double top occurred just now @ 6:19. Why couldn't it appear a bit lower or a bit higher?
