Yes. I was trying the SuperTrend trail with this method in a mechanical exit system - only had a chance for one short trade late today, it went + 16 then stopped out at +6, whereupon it dropped straight down and next hit the trail at what would have been + 40.

Those frustrations are easier to take in a higher frequency method. Unfortunately I don't see any way to backtest exit strategies with this one.

On the second push, there was a chance to re-enter. It is a question of vigilance. The original setup was not invalidated even though your stop was hit.

Adding a simple alert to the ZigZag indicator on the 1508 goes a long way toward solving the attention problem. Of course, you still need to be around.

Can you add this option ?

Considering i am still testing and learning this system, i trade a personal variant of the NexGen system on the Nasdaq/ES/TF. I also keep educating myself on Market Profile and cumulative delta. I have plenty of work ahead of me. I also regularly view recorded webinars given at various places like TraderKingdom and the institute of auction market theory and of course on futures.io (formerly BMT). I try to look at it as a regular work going from 8am to 4pm each day. Regarding Charles's approach, i have some ideas to track when price is making a HH or LL on the 1508 to avoid having to watch price constantly for this particular system.

Ideally, it would be interesting to form a trading group exclusively for this method. This way we could send us alerts via a messaging tool when a setup is about to form. There is no need for each member to look at the screen all of the time for the exact same thing. Maybe we could form a team covering all sessions Asia/Euro/US. Possibilities are endless.

Hey great idea, even if we all got a text message to wake us up during the London session that
a trade may be coming up.

No I never look at multiple markets, my mind cant personally process that much information. If you can great

When the market is boring one thing I dont do is sit there and stare at every tick, you will force trades doing that. Every person is different find something or do something that takes your attention away from the market for a short time and refresh your self

charles

Charles my question was directed towards monpere to get information from him that may be helpful but thanks anyway

Hi traders,

I may have been mistaken on my post yesterday concerning Any Meeting automatically deleting my recordings 7 days after I create it. I noticed this morning that the June 30th video is still active on the servers and that means that a video I created more than 7 days ago is still available for viewing.

I will continue to monitor the availability of my videos and make changes if/when it becomes necessary. So in the mean time continue to enjoy and hopefully learn from the videos I post

I am re posting below the link to the video I posted yesterday Friday 7/08. Due to the many post by other traders after my video post if you are not looking back in the thread you may not have realized that I posted a video

here is the link and again it is a re post of Friday's video if you have not seen it

Is there not a way to centralize all of your videos in the same post. In some threads there is a section dedicated just for this. I don't remember how it is called but i know some members use it to place their trading plan, maybe you might use it for the videos.

Not in this thread. For some reason, when this thread started, it didn't populate itself with a FAQ, it's usually post #2.

I asked Big Mike about why this thread didn't have one HERE. He said some of the newer posts didn't create the FAQ.

I made mention of that in Charles' thread HERE, so I started that document as a substitute to the FAQ.

What Charles could do if he wanted to keep all the videos in the same location, is to pick one of his posts, and edit it everyday and add the new video. Maybe his first or second post, and each day we'd just scroll back to that post, and check for the new vid.

No that is not a trade i would take for these reasons based off the amount of your chart i can see

1. the prior swing on the 1508 is not a HH, your indicator is saying a HH because of the wicks but no candle closed above the prior high
2. The proposed entry point on the 377 has 2 problems
a. you are within 15 ticks of the whole #
b. stochastic is to high at the trigger bar

However - looking forward on the 377 just before the right edge it appears you have a dbl bottom on the 377 with a hidden divergence and the stochastic is in a better place

It's hard for me to tell exactly if a trade would be valid there, possibly in the future you can also inform me what day you are looking at and what time so I can refer to my charts and see a better picture and be able to give a more specific answer in this example
