Apparently there is a tradable relationship between FX Futures and FX, where Futures are used for entries on FX. I haven't looked into it yet but its on my list. Has anyone played with this combo? What is the basic principal?

there is certainly a tradeable relationship... but not the way you think.. futures are forwards, and you can arb it against spot when it is misspriced... you might want to read "Fundamentals of Multinational Finance" from Addison Wesley Publishing... specially chapter 7.

FX Spot or FX Futures?

That was very helpful and the reason why I joined this forum because I was treading water on my own.

Couple things to bounce off you:

-- My forex data feed with TradeState is free and doesn't include equities, or futures, so I'm thinking based on what you're saying is I need to pay for the futures feeds so I see the DOM. Would you agree with this statement?

-- The other thing is based on what I been reading about the FX connection with futures, I've got a CME membership in order to review reports. One thing that attracted me to the forex spot market is the volatility and extreme reversals but I'm wondering if I wouldn't be better off looking at fx futures?

From the "introduce yourself" forum, TeagueAMX had some good questions regarding FX or FX Futures that i could only partly answer as i don't trade either. Being an index trader i suggested he could benefit from the DOM when trading FX futures duing CME hours...Is that how other FX Futures traders that have traded or do trade both see it? Do all you FX Futures traders also use volume profile to help you with your market structure and key levels?
