I also would agree with the others. From my experience of looking at IB, you can’t trade mini-lots with it.

I have found that PFG Best and Forex.com operate with NT7.

See here for a related thread:

I take the currency down to .00005.

That might be why your models are different with different data. I find the .0001 work better in strategies. Price really bounce around in-between say 1.3223 and 1.3222.

That is after all what is great about ES, it's really hitting every tick, in most cases.

In the IB/NT configuration it says to set it at half pip, I didn't realise that it was an option to set it at whole pips. I can test that to see if it makes any difference.
Thanks

Interesting, but I'm curious to know which impact has this, if you don't use the "recommended" pip steps (I don't know how to name this).
IB use 1/2 pips, MBT 1/10 pips. What price will be printed when you are connected with MBT, and use 1/2 pip for example ?
1.31115 = 1.3112 or 1.3111 ???
And aren't there other "side effects", not using the recommended "pip step" ?

Now I'm wondering which broker DOES work with NT to auto trade FX for about $1 per pip....

I’m assuming that by “auto trade” you mean integrate with NT. If I’ve misunderstood please clarify.

It is my understanding (of course, someone please correct me if I’m wrong) that when you trade mini-lots (i.e. 10,000) you are looking at roughly £1 (or $1) per pip; that is roughly. It really depends on the price of the currencies.

PFG Best support integration with NT for Forex. I am also told that MB do as well. See the linked thread above where I’ve asked a related question previously.

This list of brokers that support integration with NT is listed on their site: NinjaTrader stock, futures and forex charting software and online trading platform. [AUTOLINK]NinjaTrader[/AUTOLINK] Partners.

In conversations with TD Ameritrade they suggested they will have support for micro-lots with their Forex trading platform. However, it does not integrate with NT for Forex. To my knowledge you can only trade Shares (again, someone using that broker might want to clarify – they might support Futures as well).

Cheers,

drolles

@LukeGeniol
Did you end up getting the NT/DTN bridge/Dukascopy combo sorted? Do you know if the stoplosses are stored on the broker server or the PC?
Thanks

Ja, I have not tried anymore, anyway follow the advice ToolsForTrader gave. I'm not 100% sure, but i think the SLs and the TPs reside on broker sever.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.

I have arrived at the end of the trail with NT/IB autotraded FX minilots, NT development has just informed me that they have dropped support for this exchange/lot size as its too deep into the NT7 release, and its in their suggestions bin but dont expect any changes anytime soon.
