No. Molecule6 would be what they call an Introducing Agent. You can read about it here..
https://www.dukascopy.com/swiss/english/ia/classicIA/

Molecule6 is not software and there is no fee. Think of them like a reseller/affilate.

The More I learn about the DukasCopy / Molecule6 thing, the more I dig...

I love the futures, but I'm digging Forex more and more....

thanks for the help...

So M6 would be my broker?

Who's software would I use?

I will head to the M6 site later today and research a bit....

If Duka's software is free, but I have to pay for M6 software, I don't see the point...... yet...

thanks for all the help...

As @sunpost said, M6 or others are intruduced agents, your broker will remain always Dukascopy, and is the contrary, they will pay u back part of commission cost!!

Take your Pips, go out and Live.
Luke.

I'm thinking it's time to move away from Oanda as my spot forex broker. Moving to an ECN and away from
a market maker is a good idea, I think...

Perhaps a firm like Dukascopy???

Any suggestions??

tia

I would investigate Dukas carefully, very carefully. Especially if its via some introducing agent. Also depends what size ur pushing. Can't do it and not worth it if its small.

why don't they list their spreads? i may be US biased but why not say what the typical spread on the EUR.USD is?

And does this broker work with NINJA?

Why not Gain Capital AKA Forex dot com

There is no such thing as a typical spread, afaik ninja isnt supported by dukas, I have no personal experiance of gain but have not heard good stuff.

Spreads constantly vary...

The EUR/USD is consistantly the tightest... typically 1 pip....

Gain has a spotted past....

Dukas does not work with Ninja... MBT seems to be the call there....

I believe Dukascopy works fine with MultiCharts

My experience in this space is a few years old... ECNs that come to mind are currenex / lava / hotspot / dukascopy , though I appreciate that two of those (lava + hotspot) have changed hands since then.

One thing though - didn't the guy mentiontion trading in $1,000 or $10,000 clips? No chance on these. Min deal size on an ECN will be $100,000.

Apparantly MBTrading run an ECN with small size but I have no experience of it.

Are you sure you're talking about the same thing? An ECN is different to a broker... well, being a price taker on an ecn is kinda the same, but the point of an ecn as that you can make prices too, eh? If you deposit with an ECN you can make and take prices subject to your credit line. They are not your broker, you just pay them for access to liquidity.

As a side-note, I have found these 2 short videos proposed by FXCM to explain the difference between Dealing Desks and No Dealing Desks (NDD).

For the sake of clarity... FXCM is a broker. I have no relationship with them. I am not a client. I have no opinion about them. But I think the videos are not bad!
