So for example, if this morning's event with USD happened, I would have missed out on that opportunity since the fudamentals remained constant.

I'm okay with that since if you use price only you can end up buying into fake-outs like what happened 1 day ago with the NZD.

Yes, but you would need some AI library, computer vision or OCR. First you would need to read the news sites/twitter and analyze it with some AI (there are many free libraries, depends on what you're using, there's even sentiment analysis), and depending on the score, make it do things.

Perhaps having different algorithms for news/twitter, one thing is sentiment analysis and another would be web scrapping for technical information.

Really depends on why you would and your time frame more importantly. The spot market does not move fundamentally per se on the shorter frames.
