Wanted to say Hi to other Currency Future Traders. I am a short term 6E Scalper.... I follow short term tick charts... scalp 3-4 ticks 5-6-7 times a day.
Rollover took time, but I'm back at it now.... difficult to trade when volume is divided between old and new contracts.

Hi Trend Guy,
I am also trading the 6E short term. Do you let any contracts run past the 3 to 4 tick profit target? What kind of stop (if any) do you use?

I trade using a two tick renko footprint chart and Jigsaw trading tools. I set my initial targets at 8, 12 and a runner. My "safety stop" is at 8 ticks.

I'd love to hear a bit more about your approaches @Trend Guy, @Wartrace.
Do you scalp based on Overflow, Indicators, Technical Analysis?
Have you been doing this for a while already and found it do be profitable in the long run?

Hello all,
I am doing something very similar to what Wartrace describes. I want to trade forex somewhat longer term but feel that order flow is a useful adjunct so I am using the Jigsaw tools and the 6E.
I didn't think forex was great for scalping because of the spreads and occasional irregular moves based on brokers but I think the 6E is ok for scalping.
I would like to continue the discussion. I am not sure what the original poster is planning.
Cheers
T

perhaps you should post the chart so that we can understand how you trade.

for my 6E day trading my stop loss is generally around 12 pips.
Target profit: - typically I would target Risk reward ratio better than 1:2.5
