The effect of the futures markets on Bitcoin prices
Its interesting to note the behavior of Bitcoin since the futures have started trading. Things have calmed way down after the recent crash. Maybe because the futures or the idea of them are keeping this unruly child inline or scared investors...im talking to those that took out credit card and home equity loans...IDIOTS...who are now scared stiff with falling prices and have lost their appetites..either way BTC seems stuck in a range and that's ok with this investor. Notice i didn't say trader. i wanted to post this link i found to see if indeed the futures are a good thing for this nascent currency. I remember after a major crash..yes MT GOX..that BTC sat in a range for many months and here we are significantly higher than the $400-$800 range of yesteryear. Now as BTC sits between $9k and $12k i wonder if this is history repeating itself yet again before a surge forward..this investor sure hopes so.
