My first steps in the world of trading was via bitcoin and cryptocoins. Made my first 100€ with it. I traded on cryptsy but there where no technical tools.
Cryptsy is down now and took a lot of bitcoin from traders.
The only problem trading coins where pump and dumps.
I started with mining dogecoin with my computer.
Got about 0.30€ worth of it after a few weeks. And traded them up first with other coins. (Flappycoin, litecoin,...) after getting scammed, losing coins after losing my password from my dogewallet, a year later i got about 100€ in bitcoin traded with real money. And started trading on forex then forex got banned in my country. Now trading futures in demo.
At this stage I think with cryptocurrency there's always an extra level of risk, which is the risk of some hacker 'stealing' a batch of bitcoins, which creates havoc for the price.
