I think the new evolutions around blockchains are going to chain the (financial) world as we know it today.
While it might still be early days, one can see left and right some initiatives...

This thread is to keep some updates around blockchain technology

I've been watching this fantasy bitcoin buzz for a while now, just wondering how this was going to unfold.
Naysayers screaming in a classical Holy Grail style - "run away!" Get rich quick kids piling in...millionaires to hundredaires overnight....but the key would seem to be the blockchain technology. Trying to avoid any deep net associations, but anybody have an eye on the possibilities?

> What if this gets tied into government mandated albeit commercial products we citizens are required to comply with?
> What about, at least here in the USA, title company closings on real estate sales - all those docs now part of the chain?

annnnnddddd....
Nasdaq is already in.... Nasdaq makes first share trade using blockchain technology - Telegraph

and a great infomercial from WSJ Blog supporting the leading tech giants already years into it:
Blockchain: Catalyst for Massive Change Across Industries - The CIO Report - WSJ
CIO Explainer: What Is Blockchain? - The CIO Report - WSJ

The prior article seems to elude that the "banksters" are not so enamored with this - BS! My guess...a journalistic ploy...probably concerned in giving it any attention as that would lead to perhaps the perception of giving credibility to BC?

all aboard!!!!

Blockchain is just a ledger; bitcoin is a currency running on a blockchain.
One needs the other. The other does not need the one.

I don't follow this stuff much but a coworker knows I'm interested in trading (slightly, anyway) and shot me a link to this vid/article. Not all about trading but I thought it was interesting.
