Wow, scary stuff. Yet another reason why I prefer to not be on the bleeding edge of anything. Whether it be technology, software, investment/trading products, whatever.

Ill rather be late to the party than early and be forced to put up with stuff like this.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Diversification is the only free lunch

New Rule - If you invested your money in virtual currency don't be surprised when it virtually disappears. Who could have predicted this? Virtually everyone.

I think would rather trust Citibank and the other pos banks than three dorks in a basement playing dungeon and dragons

Even if we live a virtual life most of the times, when everyone called something "virtual", this thing simply does not exist, virtually...
Be careful!!!

And what about all people with their coins trapped with the exchange crash?

Crazy. This is why, when my friends started mining for coins I kind of just stayed away and watched from a distance. Something like this would just be punishing.

Yep, this is exactly the kind of thing that made me stay out of BTC, too.

I can't help but smile when reading this post and seeing the current state (and value) of Cryptocurrencies as a whole.

I'm very glad that I kept the faith and stayed with them. Is the risk still there? Absolutely it is, but without risk there is no reward in any type of investing or asset speculation.
