I'd like to ask CQG Qtrader users how much you get charged per month for the platform? Today my broker sent me a statement and I get charged $96.22 for CQG Qtrader instead of $40 !!! Is that normal? I've sent an email to my broker and now I'm waiting for an explanation why did I get charged so much?!

You also get charged $0.25 extra per filled contract.

yes, the problem is, that I was on holiday and I didn't trade for a month at all + I get charged .25 per filled contract right away so it couldn't be it. Still waiting for a response from my broker.

So CQG charges 1 month in advance, so I paid for June and also for July. Problem solved.

NinjaTrader through our CQG or Continuum adapters use the same underlying data that QTrader uses. There is no need to pay for QTrader to access the same data.

while it might be "the same data" ... NT7 cant not even begin to compare to QTrader... even though QTrader is limited when compared to the full product ( like only having single chart with tabs, or not being able to have multiple custom sessions, etc)... it is still years ahead of NT7... and if you dont believe me, feel free to show me a simple cal or fly on NT7 on energies... or better yet, allow me to trade bonds using the yield on the DOM...

lets not oversimplify the differences in products by stating it is merely the data/trade route are the same...

I am looking to switch to QTrader and was wondering if anyone had experience using their multi broker algo? Was shown a demo by one of their guys using QTrader and it looked simple and was rather impressed by it allocation options, but he blew thru it so fast and haven't had the opportunity to try it on my own. Any comments about the product are much appreciated. Thx.

I don't know anything about the algo. But, there are various Account Management screens and different ways you can slice and dice portfolios. From the looks of it, the system is ready to manage several dozen or perhaps even hundreds of accounts. Each with a mind boggling array of sub-settings.

I would like to mention that QTrader seems to be getting tricke down enhancements from CQGIC and more may be forthcoming.

I recently found an Option Strategy Builder that I have never seen before. Unfortunately, we still don't have one click spread execution. This is a CQGIC feature.

Does anybody know a back door in Formula Builder tips and tricks to getting around these limitations? I once saw a support tech create a intercommodity spread via Formula Builder and list the custom futures spread into Portfolio Monitor for one click trading and charting. Theoretically, you can do it for options. ie 1 click trading and charting a current month iron condor/strangle. What a convenience that would be.

Unfortunately, I lost the sample when I had to reset.
