Re-entered the LHJ22-LHZ21, as intended.

I intend to add some LHM-LHG around 11.

Additionally, I hold two outright long positions: LHG and LCZ.

Best regard, Myrrdin

Why outright longs, if I might ask? I like the seasonal downtrend on LHM-LHG, nice find there.

The outright longs are based on the futures being undervalued compared to cash, in my opinion. These are small and shorter term trades.

Both positions are covered via short call options, as I do not expect large price movements.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Today after the close the quarterly Hogs and Pigs Report as well as the monthly Cattle on Feed-Report will be published. Both reports have the potential to strongly influence the market.

Thus, I suggest checking the size of your positions in the meat markets.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Liquidated all open positions in the meats before the report, with all of them showing nice profits.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Hogs and Pigs Report came in strongly bullish.

The Cattle on Feed-Report is considered to be bearish, especially for the 2022 contracts.

Best regards, Myrrdin

What is your view on the HEG-HEJ spread? (Sell HEG-Buy HEJ)?

Regards.

I like the bear spreads in the hogs, and entered a first position in the HEM-HEG yesterday before the close.

Best regards, Myrrdin

Seems a bit off to me that May-June spread is 9.3, and June-July spread is -0.8.. Why is June at a premium to both May and July? Anyone got an idea?

May and July contracts usually have very low volume; most people only trade the June contact. Thus, May and July contracts often are mispriced.
