I noticed that even though NG futures are volatile during the day, there extremely volatile around 5-7:30 am central time before the intraday session. Can someone explain to me why it is so volatile at that time even though there is hardly any volume?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Well, I think you've already answered your question by yourself, because due to the lack of decent volume volatility can easily increase since there will be not that many contracts needed to make this market move more extensively compared to regular trading hours.

Of course you might do that, but you should act very carefully during these times, due to the lack of volume.
