Did something rather stupid today and need to make sure it doesn't happen again. I finished up my trading today around 11 am and was -$100 for the day. Not too good, but not terrible either. My Leeloo account balance was around $51,000. Then later in the afternoon, I started playing around on SIM..or at least that's what I thought. Later on when I checked my balance on the Leeloo to see my trailing drawdown amount..it showed I had lost -$375 for the day and was now at $50,747. Somehow I unknowingly went on my evaluation account and took a trade . I didn't notice it at all, but it lost $275.
It's not a huge deal, but the weird thing is I don't remember switching over to the Leeloo account..but I guess I did? Oh well.
That sucks, but a wake up call we ALWAYS need to be on guard and paying attention.
At least it was for a relative small $ amount and I'm sure you'll recoup it quickly.
Get a second computer for trading sim only - don't connect it to your LeeLoo account. A cheap computer will do the trick. My trading computer is for live trading only - no Google, no email, no nothing except trading.
BTW, the new computer I had made is fantastic - inexpensive and the guys did a great job.
