It's a pretty straight forward thing to achieve. Maybe offer a few more details on what it is you want and I or someone should be able to help.

How do I reference a technical indicator that was overlaid from a different chart onto the chart I am building the paint bar study onto

lets say chart#1 contains Study Id1 and chart 2 contains a Study Id2.
If I use a Study overlay indicator to bring study id1 into chart2, how do I reference the studyID1 in the formula.
“=AND(ID2.SG2<???studyoverlayed indicator

I think you should just be able to open study settings for the chart.
You'll see the overlay has its own ID.

And if you go into that study then and look at subgraphs you can see values have their on subgraph IDs... SG1, SG2 etc..

So if the overlay has ID 4 and the subgraph you want to refence is SG1. Then just reference ID4.SG1.

I like to do things the hard way so I generally just add a spreadsheet study to the chart and work on referencing studies on the chart in there.

That help or you know all that and its not working for you?
