I do not know of any specific important report for Gold. The Gold price depends on several general reports regardings the economy: FED meetings, payroll readings, inflation readings etc.
The most important reports for grains are published by USDA / WASDE on a monthly base.
In case you are looking for a commodity with a high volatility: Have a look at the meat markets. There is the Quarterly Hogs Report and the monthly Live Cattle Report, both published by USDA.
