I see consultancy in your future, move over Hightower!

Just saw this comment which surprised. Took a look at your tableau but didnt see any export info.
"In 2016, the U.S. exported 9 time more petroleum products than crude oil. Keep that in mind."

Well in terms of crude oil stocks, none really, the stocks are what they are. In the big picture though it means we continue to import crude oil, even if it is only to increase refinery utilization, and then export the produced products. Which I suppose points to how effective US refining is.

EIA is usually 2 months behind on giving monthly data. Their last release was Dec 2016. Jan should be released next week.

Interesting, as my understanding was that Crude Oil stocks were at record high levels because of US shale producers. That was cited as a potential factor for which OPEC cuts did not appear to have a material impact on stocks.
