Last Wednesday, July 26, the CME Group, under which the old NYMEX exists, the exchange where crude oil trades, just released a research piece entitled, Oil: Economic Landscape of Saudi Arabia. It goes into a pretty thorough discussion of that country’s options to continue to sustain itself economically and what role their reserves might play in the path they select. Given Saudi Arabia’s enormous importance in the crude oil market, it’s well worth reading.
