Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

CL looks direction less

In the short term for sure, but the longer term is still downward. Currently trading in short range, but looks like the odds are downward once this range breaks down. Technicalls appear to be supporting down move and fundamentals are still weak in this commodity as mentioned in above notes. All this looks so clear and certain. But in markets expect the unexpected.

My first reaction was, I wonder how much of the increased demand is filling storage as opposed to real demand. Based upon this comment I assume we don't know... Quote "There are major doubts about the amount of fuels and especially crude disappearing into the country's strategic stockpiles."

More commentary from Mr Kemp

If I'm understanding things correctly nobody knows what the hell is going on with oil because of China and their lack of transparency

I'd like to see what the commercials did this week. A continuation of the downtrend would seem the natural choice. How far can it fall...?

Oil drilling rigs may have dropped but US production jumped last week to be higher than the 4 prior weeks.

It *should* be interesting to see what /CL does now that the ban has been lifted on US exports
