Welcome to futures io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

Buyers at 5085 and sellers at 5135 -Flip Flop-charts later as always. Not too shabby 50 tick range.

garyboy275 is saying , there are buyers. My plan as posted this morning " 50.40 as refrence point for long. All it means that my stop loss will be below that area for longs. So if i feel like going long at 51, stop loss will be below that area. This stop loss is too wide to try long. Thus, i will wait till it get as close to that area as much possible".

Long 50.75

CL please bounce. I am bagging you even though i am not long. Why? and if no bounce, then give me a FLUSH down to go long with size at lows. Enough of Mikey Mouse set ups. If this is slow, imagine trading E-mini.

840 Well Completions Deferred by Oil & Gas Operators Due to Lackluster Crude Market Conditions; 373 Mb/d of Oil & 528 MMcfd of Gas in Forecasted Supply Impacts

While this may decrease oil on market now it will also prevent oil prices from surging in future with these wells ready to be turned on and producing.

I fully agree. Perfect set-up for option selling.

But only a fraction of the 100 billion total would be recovered, UKOG admits.

Right now. Some time ago no one even would think about possibility of fracking. Technology is the key. What was impossible yesterday could be very common tomorrow. More and more unconventional oil will be recovered in the future and deposits of this kind of oils are really huge.
Some time ago I read a research where conventional oil deposits were estimated like just a small fraction of all available world oil deposits.

For all those who have been asking about spread trading, I just stumbled upon this futures.io (formerly BMT) thread which is a pretty decent read, and has some real gems in it in places.

What is interesting, total change in puts OI for the front month was soaring all the week long while for calls it was quite stable or negative. See screenshots for the last 2 days.
