Ive been trading the mini crude (QM) contract a bit and have been wondering about the relationship with the CL contract. ive had both DOM and tick streams up and was wondering if you follow the CL closer and use that for decisions rather than QM order flow. My thoughts have been that since CL is the "real" contract and more liquid, the QM is reactionary. Im not trying to arb either, i tend to use a market profile type strategy. Thanks.

A 4 range QM chart looks pretty close to 10 range CL chart, which is what you would expect. If the price action is approximately the same and your order flow analysis is the approximately the same, then there's your answer. If your order flow analysis from QM to CL is dramatically different, then...there's your answer?
