Quick pic I took of the trading floor where I work.
Realised I can now spot 7 cups of tea, yoda, some loo roll...!

In that pic, 1 outright/directional, 1 spreading only, and 3 a bit of a mix.

I have this one in green.....I recommend trying to find one locally and sitting in it first.....its not for every one

If you wouldn't mind, would you have some rough stats on what % of traders are doing what in those categories you mentioned?
1.) Directional
2.) Bill Spreaders
3.) Combination of both

Hmm, %ages? I guess 20% are doing oil spreads, 40% rates so could be a mix of outrights and spreads depending on what's happening, 30% notes/bonds (2 through to 10 year mostly) usually directional with occasional spread perhaps, 10% pure outright in equities or bonds. Does that make 100%?

Yup, that'll do it.
So how do you like the training so far? The usual drill, stay in the market all day just scalping off the DOM , calculate the hedge ratios, or what? If you can't say thats cool. Are they're many prop shops in the UK?
I've not been btw, but have quite a few friends that have either tried out and been accepted or declined for personal reasons. All in Australia.
